of Your Wine Collection

I provide you with regular updates on where we are in the process.

  1. We start off with an initial consultation to evaluate the contents of your collection. I will consider the visual condition of the wines and make sure they were stored properly. I also determine if they are of the quality and caliber that Christie's would be willing to represent, auction and sell.

  2. Once the collection has passed the initial inspection, I acquire a photo inventory with details, as it pertains to the state of the collection and the number of bottles. I look for things like stained labels and wine fill level at the neck of the bottle.

  3. During the inventory, I will organize the wine cellar and make it easier to pack up and ship the collection.

  4. When you give me approval to present the collection inventory to Christie’s for consideration, I will provide you with a copy of the inventory.

  5. Once Christie's sends the list that they will auction, I present it to you for approval. I then arrange for shipping containers to be sent to your home.

  6. I will personally pack all the contents using Christie's shipping containers, put shipping labels on all boxes, and meet the delivery truck for the pickup of all the products to Christie's warehouses.

  7. Once the auction commences, Christie’s arranges for direct deposit into your personal bank account. This keeps all financial matters completely transparent between you, Christie's, and Grand Estate Wine Sellers.
